DIY Soothing Spa Treatments
Owning a spa comes with many benefits. You get to take a dip and cool off whenever you want, blow off steam, get some much needed exercise and have awesome parties for family and friends, all without leaving the comfort of your own home.
But you knew that already didn’t you?
What you may have not realized is that a spa can also come in handy if you’re in the mood for some pampering.
Here are three spa treatments you can do at home that will leave you looking and feeling like a hundred bucks at a fraction of the cost.
Doing this classic spa treatment at home is as easy as it gets. All you need is a quiet evening and some minimal preparation.
Set the scene by turning off the lights, surrounding your pool area with candles and putting on your favorite chill-out music. Add some essential oils to the water, dip in, lay back and relax.
Soothing Face Mask Treatment
Add more oomph to your aromatherapy session by applying a face mask.
There are many brands of face mask on the market. Just pick one that grabs your fancy online or at your local drugstore. Alternatively, you can easily make your own with a few simple ingredients from your pantry.
Just pour some milk and honey in a bowl, blend together until the mixture is sticky and creamy and apply liberally to your face. Finish the mask off with two slices of cucumber over your eyes.
Softening Manicure and Pedicure
Once you’re done soaking up the goodness of your aromatherapy treatment, you can finish off your day in style with a manicure and pedicure.
Exfoliate your skin with a body scrub to get rid of those pesky dead skin cells, trim your nails, file them into shape and push back the cuticles. Don’t forget to apply some cuticle oil first to soften them up. Finish off by applying your favorite nail polish (or not).
